God’s attitude towards His people since the Garden of Eden, has been wrapped in the seven redemptive names. The fall itself unlocked the attributes that were bottled up in our God. He is Jehovah Rohi, Jehovah Jireh, Jehovah Shalom, Jehovah Rapha, Jehovah Tsidkenu, Jehovah Shammah and Jehovah Nissi. If He is your shepherd, then He is also your provider, your peace, your healer, and your righteousness. He is ever present, therefore He will be your banner of protection in the midst of your storm. Remember, He can’t be one without being the others. If he has expressed Himself to you in either of these names, then look for him to demonstrate every other attribute in your life. Psalms 23 is a familiar passage which clearly expresses all seven compound names.
The LORD is my shepherd; (Jehovah Rohi – the Lord our shepherd) I shall not want. (Jehovah Jireh – the Lord our provider)
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. (Jehovah Shalom – the Lord our peace)
He restoreth my soul: (Jehovah Rapha – the Lord our healer) he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. (Jehovah Tsidkenu – the Lord our righteousness)
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. (Jehovah Shammah – the Lord is present)
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: (Jehovah Nissi – the Lord our banner) thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
