Seven Compound Names of Jehovah

God’s attitude towards His people since the Garden of Eden, has been wrapped in the seven redemptive names. The fall itself unlocked the attributes that were bottled up in our God. He is  Jehovah Rohi, Jehovah Jireh, Jehovah Shalom, Jehovah Rapha, Jehovah Tsidkenu, Jehovah Shammah and Jehovah Nissi. If He is your shepherd, then He is also your provider, your peace, your healer, and your righteousness. He is ever present, therefore He will be your banner of protection in the midst of your storm. Remember, He can’t be one without being the others.  If he has expressed Himself to you in either of these names, then look for him to demonstrate every other attribute in your life. Psalms 23 is a familiar passage which clearly expresses all seven compound names.

PSALM 23:1-6

1    The LORD is my shepherd; (Jehovah Rohi – the Lord our shepherd) I shall not want. (Jehovah Jireh – the Lord our provider)

2     He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. (Jehovah Shalom – the Lord our peace)

3     He restoreth my soul: (Jehovah Rapha – the Lord our healer) he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. (Jehovah Tsidkenu – the Lord our righteousness)

4     Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. (Jehovah Shammah – the Lord is present)

5     Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: (Jehovah Nissi – the Lord our banner)  thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

6     Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

Potential In The Seed

The Lord has been speaking to our hearts in a rather simple manner. As we have learned from God’s prophet, God is hidden and revealed in simplicity. When looking at seed, after peeling a nice mango, one might think the end has come. You have enjoyed the mango and now you have a useless seed. However, if planted and placed in the right atmosphere, that seed can produce other mangos. It may take some time, but it will reproduce as that is one of God’s laws as written in the following scripture.

And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.

All the potential lays within the seed. It has to go through a process, but yet it will produce because of God’s law. I encourage you to apply this same principle when you plant the seed of God’s word in your heart. It will produce the same results in your life in comparison to the mango seed producing mangos. The same law applies spiritual and it will work when mixed with faith. If God healed you before, He will heal you again. If God delivered you before, He can do it again. If God, saved my family, He can save your family. Why, because it is the same Word seed being sown and with patience, it must produce. The potential is in the seed. I pray the following quote will encourage your heart as well.

You say, “Brother Branham, can I accept Christ as my Healer now?” Certainly. “Well, if I’m not well in five minutes, what about it?” You’re healed anyhow. If you believe it, you wouldn’t ask me that question if you believed it. There’s no question in your mind when you really believe it. You don’t question it; you believe it. Other people might question it, but you don’t question it.
