DESCRIPTION:Join us in our annual time of fasting. As a church body, we have embraced this time of year and we have seen the hand of God bless it.\nMatthew 6:16 – Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.\n\nIt is expected of the believer. Jesus says when ye fast, not if ye fast.\nThe key is be sincere when you fast.\n\nWe call it a corporate fast because that is what Esther asked for when she was facing a critical decision.\nEsther 4:16 – Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish.\nWe fast for 21 days as that is what Daniel did while seeking the Lord\n \n \n \n \nYou will notice in the quote below that our prophet also had an intention to fast. We truly believe that fasting is still an essential part of the Christian experience. We realize that everyone is different ,so fasting may be different for all. After reading the quote below, you will see that we have listed different types of fasting as well as scriptures to support it.
