Desperation

We heard a sermon preached by Bro. Kenneth Walker entitled “Desperation Brings The Supernatural”. I was extremely impressed with a comment that was made and also demonstrated during the sermon. The question was asked that  if I had a loved one that needed to be rushed to the hospital, I would have no problem aiding that loved one no matter what time of day or night I was called upon. The challenge here is would the response be the same for a loved one who desired me to pray with them until they received the Holy Ghost, especially if they felt the Lord dealing with their hearts late in the night. I felt challenged with with this statement and left the service with a desire to be more attentive or just as attentive to spiritual matters. I was reminded of the quote I listed below and want to encourage you to let desperation bring the supernatural results you desire.

DESPERATIONS_  JEFF.IN  V-4 N-1  SUNDAY_  63-0901E
You can’t be desperate till God speaks to you. Oh, Church, rise and shake yourself! Pinch your conscience, wake yourself up, in this hour! We must be desperate, or perish! There is coming forth something from the Lord! I know it as THUS SAITH THE LORD. There is coming forth something, and we better get desperate. It’s between Life and death. It’ll pass through us and we won’t see it.

  1. I too was deeply moved by that message preached by Bro. Walker. Between that one and what Bro. Jack ministered on for Sunday (You’re Doing Good, But You Can Do Better), I have been pushed to an even higher place in the Lord. I truly heard the Word and I got just what my soul has longed for. The Word has penetrated deep my heart and is producing a much desired change in me – not just something for the moment but an everlasting change. I have recommitted my way unto the Lord, and I feel His presence ever so sweetly abiding in me. I am more determined than ever to press the battle. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for loving me so!
