In the midst of a drought

I was reading in I Kings 17 a few weeks ago and noticed the miracles that were performed in the midst of the drought. By definition, a drought is a shortage of water or it could be a shortage of anything. We certainly realize there is shortage of many things in our present economic condition. However, we are encouraged that God is still in control in the midst of this drought. I wanted to encourage you with a portion of scripture that I read on yesterday in which I thought was very appropriate. II CHRONICLES 16:9 For the eyes of…

Two Inspirations

At the beginning of the message today, Bro. Caleb shared this quote with us. HEAR.YE.HIM_  CHICAGO.IL  SUNDAY_  56-0930 Now, when a man is inspired and he reads the inspired Word, the two inspirations together gives a result. Now, you can never… No matter how well you study the Word, It’ll never do you no good till you’re inspired yourself. It takes your inspiration with… The Word’s already inspired. So what we need today is an inspiration over us, God sweeping down with a new inspiration and breathing over us His power, and His love, and Himself, that it might inspire…

Like Father, like son

Often times we hear this statement and it is used with a negative connotation. I have come to understand that I was gene in my Father before I was ever born. Notice the capital Father, as I am grateful for my natural birth, but my spiritual birth is beyond comparison. Our natural parents were predestinated to bring a supernatural gene to earth. I am convinced that I shall take on the image of my Father, for truly I desire to fulfill the old adage; “like Father, like son”. Flower of Obedience

Happy belated Father’s Day to all the fathers. Thought I would share a quote with you as it was read in church on Sunday. One of the saints was really moved by the quote and wanted to share it with someone else. Enjoy the scripture and the quote. EPHESIANS 6:1-4 1     Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. 2    Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;) 3    That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth. 4    And, ye fathers,…

The Darkness is Past

We ran across this quote while studying the Seventh Seal on last week. It seemed to be a perfect follow-up to the message that was preached on Sunday, entitled “The Darkness Is Past”. THE.SEVENTH.SEAL_  JEFF.IN  SUNDAY_  63-0324E I thank God for His Word; I thank Him for Jesus Christ. For without sending Him for the–the propitiation of our sins, we’d all be in a big muck of sin with no hope. But by His grace, His–His Blood cleanses all sin. Just like the drop of ink in a bucket of Clorox, you’d never find the ink again. When our sins…

I’m not where I used to be

I was referring to this statement in the message today ” The Darkness Is Past”. Under inspiration, I couldn’t quote it just right, but thought I would share what I was referring to. This is a simple reflection and I encourage you to  look at where you were and look now to where you are. One thing for sure progress has been made for it is quite difficult for anyone to stand still. CONVINCED.AND.THEN.CONCERNED_  CHICAGO.IL  MONDAY_  62-0521  E-61 Well, you can say I’m crazy if you want to. You can say I’m out of the will of the Lord if you…

Revelation 2010 – (You Gone Get It)

I was thoroughly encouraged by the message from our Bro. Caleb Wesco today. I thought I would share a quote which he referred to in his message “The Revelation of Your Enemy”. LAODICEAN.CHURCH.AGE  –  CHURCH.AGE.BOOK CPT.9 “These things saith the AMEN.” I like that. It means that whatever He said is final. It means that whatever He said to the first age and to the second and to all ages about His own true church and about the false vine is exactly right and it won’t change. It means that what He started out with in Genesis, He will finish…

Tighten Your Belt

Pastor’s comments: I was thinking of a song written by Sis. Ellen Burrs. It says when you can’t stand anymore, I will be standing for you. When you can’t bear your heavy load, I’m interceding for you. Don’t give up, don’t give in, this battle you can win. I’ll stand, I’ll be standing for you. While reflecting on this I thought of the scripture in Ephesians 6, that encourages us to stand when having done everything else. I thought I would share that scripture and encouraging quote with you. EPHESIANS 6:12-18 12    For we wrestle not against flesh and…

God does not argue

I was thinking of this quote we read last night after sharing with one of the saints today. I thought I would share it with you in the post. THE.SEVENTH.SEAL_  JEFF.IN  SUNDAY_  63-0324E  What was it? See, you know right then the election’s off. Just don’t fool with it at all. Jesus did the same thing. He said, “Let them alone. If the blind lead the blind, won’t they all fall in the ditch?” But when He come to a little prostitute, it struck fire. What was it? It was an elected seed laying there (See?) that seen it right…

Revival Fires

JEREMIAH 4:3 For thus saith the LORD to the men of Judah and Jerusalem, Break up your fallow ground, and sow not among thorns. HOSEA 10:12 Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain righteousness upon you. JEHOVAH.JIREH.2_  GRASS.VALLEY.CA  JJ 73-106  FRIDAY_  62-0706 The Church, perhaps the Bride is done chosen. It’s get Her ready now. The getting Her… The revival’s over. We know that. There’s no more revival spirit. Two hours of service, everybody’s complaining. In a revival it’s day and…
